"I built JustHer® for women in financial transition."

Money decisions during a transition feel different. Divorce, widowhood, career change, taking ownership of finances after a partner managed them. Most advisors design services for steady states. JustHer® is the practice I built around the transition itself.

Chad grew up in a small town in northeast Texas. In high school, he played football and baseball, stocked grocery shelves on weeknights, and drove tractors and grain trucks on the weekends. He was Valedictorian of his class, though his kids like to point out that there were only 37 students in his graduating class.

Chad attended Baylor University, where he paid for school through student loans and by waiting tables at nights and on weekends. During his limited free time, he was a founding member of the Baylor Rugby Club and served as an officer in Sigma Nu Fraternity.

He earned his BBA with a double major in Financial Services and Planning and Insurance Studies. Not long after, he married his “Baylor Beauty,” which he still considers one of the best decisions of his life. More than 30 years and four kids later, Chad spends much of his time working, cheering on his family, and keeping up with Baylor tuition bills, baseball, and football.

He also teaches retirement planning courses every semester at McLennan Community College, where many of his students are Baby Boomers preparing for or already living in retirement. After class, he often hears some version of the same comment: “We wish we would have taken this class twenty years ago.”
